This blog is for Artfully Organizing, but it also has things about me, Billtheartist. I will give you a personal look into my life as well. Organizing stuff is not the only thing I love, I create art as well. I am a, as my wife calls me, “geek”.
Sci-fi, Fantasy, anime, action adventure, westerns, and comedy are my go to genres. Going to Comi-cons and seeing all the great artists in the comic book field as well as graphic novels make my mind just go wild. The comics, cartoon, and animation genres are my go to styles. There are a few realistic paintings as well. My tastes are very diverse. However, I could never really get into abstract, though some paintings are pleasing to my eye, but that is very rare.

Around 3 years ago I started painting again when I discovered that digital tablets were more affordable. I never really got into traditional art because of my partial color-blindness. I bought a Wacom Creative tablet and fell in love with my art again. Wacom is the professionals choice of monitor tablet, but the cost was more than I could afford. My research led me to Huion where I purchased the GT-185-HD Monitor Pen Tablet. Here is a picture.
I started looking around the internet at other artists and thought I could pursue an art career. As I delve into painting and sketching, I quickly started to feel overwhelmed with inadequacy.
There are so many great artists out there that have great jobs as art directors, game artists, illustrators, etc., and many that are searching for work. “Many” is an understatement. I was slowly realizing that the amount of time I would have to put into getting to that level was to great for my circumstances. I have a family to support and I am the sole provider. One night while looking through Pinterest I came across Sarah Titus’s pins, ” How to Start a Money Making Blog Today”. One post led to another and soon I was looking into blogging to generate income. I could integrate my art into the blog posts. Then I came across another blog about becoming a professional organizer. I answered a questionaire and I answered yes to almost all of the questions. That was it! I now had a true feeling of my future path. I started researching the industry and found that I didn’t have to go to school to learn, I could start with very little capitol and there is a great support group to help me along the path of becoming a Professional Organizer.
